I'm proud to announce the launch of my new site!
Days Gone Design has undergone a slight;) makeover and I'm loving it. I've been working tirelessly to get it posted before the ad went up {today} on Dandelion and Grey! Awesome things are happening with my business. I'm also am partnering up with my wedding photographer at Erika's Expressions and we are hitting a bridal show together in May. I'm also sponsoring in Hunt for the Rock by Elizabeth Diamond Co in just a couple of weeks! Phew! Busy, busy, but I am loving it:)
On top of it all, we are still waiting to close on our house. It's been pushed back a number of times so hopefully we'll get there very soon! Packing is going well. The husband has been fantastic!

Pregnancy & Food
Funny story. Today, I went to Subway. I always opt for the 2 cookies with my meal instead of chips. {If you haven't had their cookies, I recommend them!} For the first time ever, they gave me 3 cookies instead of 2. I didn't think much of it until dinner...
The husband and I met my brothers for dinner at Culvers. After dinner, I ordered a small concrete mixer. They gave me a medium. Coincidence? I think perhaps I am reaping the benefits of my baby! I mean, seriously, who can resist the beautiful little bump?! I would totally supersize the order of a glowing, expectant mother if I had the opportunity to provide that. It's kinda cool if that was really the intentions of both clerks today. Matt got a kick out of this and he likes to eat too. I won't be surprised if he goes about pointing out my growing belly to food providers in the future:)
Orange & Teal/Aqua
So, I'm totally unsure of what draws me to this color scheme because I don't generally like orange and I don't like teal/aqua, but together they are fabulous! Such as the diaper bag in this post. {I still have not completely decided between the two, btw}. Everyone who knows me says the yellow and gray is more me...which makes complete sense, because I am not an orange and teal person but I just really like it.
Speaking of this color combo, I am working with a bride on this invitation...
It will be backed with orange cardstock and tied with ribbon, then topped with a monogrammed "M" (name changed to protect privacy).
I just adore these colors together!
P.S. pics of baby bump coming soon!

Moving on Up
So I started a little packing last night and am realizing that this job is going to be quite the process! I can't imagine what it's like to move when you have kids! Matt and I are just starting out and really don't even own all that much (with the exception of my massive jean and shoe collections!). Seriously, I prob own between 30 - 40 pairs of each. Ridiculous, I know. Thank God I can at least still fit into my shoes (perhaps not for long though?). I pray that I will get back into my jeans...
Back to business. I don't think Matt has the slightest clue what moving all this stuff will be like (no, I'm not only referring to my jeans and shoes :) ). I looked up packing tips online and Matt laughed at me! I tried to explain this won't simply be throwing things in boxes...he then warned me that I might not like his packing skills....uh oh! We'll get through it:)
Good news! Ok, just when I wondered how life could possibly get any better, God trumps it! Matt just informed me this morning that he is being promoted! This happens to come with a nice hefty raise!!! So proud of him:) And what better timing with buying our first home and having our first babe:) Praise God!

Decor Dreams
have just discovered World Market from a blog swap between two fabulous ladies, Natalie and Carissa...check them out! They're a couple of awesome gals and offer a ton of inspirations for momma's, decoration, etc. I plan to do some garage saling this spring for furniture and whatnot, but if all else fails, I have my eye on these items. They are nicely priced too!

Other news: I have been working on an amazing wedding invitation package...fun! I will post more later, but here's a little peak:)

Change
I've been realizing all the huge changes approaching and nothing delights me more! I am one who generally welcomes change and I get very excited. Matt and I were talking the other day and realized that within a year we got married, are buying a house, having a baby, and I will quite my job and start full spead into my own business! These are HUGE life events, but more importantly, ALL my dreams coming true! My entire life, all I have ever wanted was to marry my perfect man, have babies and work on my art. Check. Check. Check! God is great. I'm feeling very ambitious. I've always wanted to garden and plan on starting that up at our new house! In hopes of saving money, I want to freeze and attempt canning...wish me luck! Any advice or tips, bring it on, please! I'm also looking so forward to decorating but that will be a work in progress to attempt to keep saving money and get items we truly love.
Now, on to Baby Registries! This is both exciting and intimidating for me. Again, any suggestions of items, brands, stores, etc, please let me know. I am at a loss and pretty picky so any advice is so welcome. So far, I have registries at Target and Babies-R-Us. I hear these are the best places, but I am open.
I'm really excited about tomorrow! I am going shopping with my mom, sister and baby niece! It's been a while since I've been shopping have a really big itch. I used to shop at least once a month before moving out on my own 3 years ago. I'm looking forward to purchasing a couple baby items, adding to the registries, and getting a couple materity tops:) I'm hoping to find a sundress or sundresses. Something very affordable, comfortable, and simple. I envision wearing it/them a lot this summer. I want to be able to manoover easiy and possibly garden in it too and stay cool. Above all, I absolutely LOVE these outings with the gals in my family. Such good times! We don't have enough of them.
Have a great weekend!

Diaper Bag Love
While trying to decide what to include in registries, I found that like baby bedding, I pretty much hate all the styles of diaper bags in general stores. Totally unstylish. Etsy, on the other hand, whole different story! I cannot decide! I'm loving these two bags but can't seem to choose one. Plus, they are both reversable! I really want both:)
Both happen to be from the same seller, Retrofied.
