Happy Friday! It's been a busy week! I teamed up with Laura from Captured by Laura Photography to do a design shoot for my paper items. I'm really looking forward to seeing her photos and sharing them with you!

The husband sent this to me the other day...he loves Apartment Therapy! Ever since we bought our house, I've been trying to explain to him my ideas for decorating and my love of white and rustic, but with an elegant touch. I think he was picturing a girlie style due to my frequent use of the word, shabby chic. I'm getting the itch to start doing some projects around the house.

Tonight, one of my dear friends will be celebrating her engagement and I am leaving Evie home with Daddy! I've never been away from her for more than a couple hours so this should be interesting. I'll miss her big blue eyes, babbling words and outstretched arms reaching for me but I am excited to get away for a little bit. She is in good hands:)

I designed business cards for one of my favorite clients, Kelly from Sweet & Simple Jewelry. I adore her work and recently purchased these earrings and I love them! My new favs!

{Apple Saucy Fun}

This adorable hat was a gift from Evie's great Aunt Lisa. It was handmade by her mom. We love it, Lisa! Thank you!

Little Evie is now 7 months old and busier than ever! She is so curious and loves playing with mommy's phone and random dials are her new trick:) She now has little chompers! Her 2 bottom teeth came in last week but it's not helping her eating situation. Evie loves everything to be in her mouth...except for food, besides crackers and cheerios, that is. One food she particularly despises is apple sauce!

{DIY Play Felt Food}

For Christmas, I made a few batches of felt breakfast food for some of my nieces. The pancakes, bacon and eggs turned out great and were super easy to make! I plan to make many more items in the future for Evie:) My inspiration came from Natalie from The Busy Budgeting Mama. She offers some links to great tutorials or you can just wing it like I did by looking at pictures. Thank you, Natalie!

Evelyn was 6 months old on New Years Day! She is now scooting forward. She is so determined! We're still working on eating table food...she's picky. I guess she gets it honestly. My oldest brother nick named me "Picky Nikki" when I was a baby:)

So my mister calls me up on the telly just to tell me how much he appreciates me and loves me. He tells me he knows how busy I have been with Christmas shopping and prep and that he hasn't been much help. Love it! It just puts an extra jump in my step today!

A little update on Evie:

Evelyn is 5 months today! I cannot believe it. Time is going much too fast and I'm just trying to take in all the adorable little moments:) Evelyn started rolling over when she was just over 3 months, continues to roll and even scoots a little now. She's still in size 1 diapers, weighs about 13 lbs. or so, and is really long (she gets that from her daddy). Evie loves playing with her toy rings or anything she can get in her mouth:) She finds daddy totally hilarious, esp when he does jumping jacks! Evie loves her headbands (she told me so) and rarely leaves the house without one! To most of the world, she may appear bald, but we can see the peach fuzz that stands straight up on her sweet head:) She (usually) eats and sleeps like a champ. Some say we are in for a treat when # two comes along! She's our little rock star:)
